Bio
Kathleen Yorba is an American artist whose paintings explore the space between memory and transformation. Working in a language that blends abstraction with the figure, her canvases reflect a quiet but persistent inquiry—into identity, presence, and the unseen forces that shape our lives.
Her work has been exhibited in solo and group shows across the country and is included in public and private collections such as the University of La Verne, George Fox University, UCLA’s Triverton House, the Santa Barbara Museum of Art, and Self Help Graphics in Los Angeles. She is currently represented by Hammerfriar Gallery, Lori Austin Gallery, and Gallery Los Olivos, all in California.
Yorba holds an MFA from Azusa Pacific University and a BA from the University of La Verne. She is a two-time resident at the Jentel Artist Residency in Wyoming. Originally from Colorado, she now lives and works on California’s Central Coast, where the shifting light and quiet presence of the landscape continue to shape her studio practice.
